I recently talked about the genre conventions of the animated movie inside out, and what this movie portrays as the specific genre, and what we all expected or did not expect. but this week I will talk about this movie but from an ideological stand point, for many who has watched the movie, we can all agree that this was an great movie it was very interesting, fun, and just overall had a great messege. but when understanding the true definition of ideology and how people view it some may not agree or like this movie as much as others.
as john Adams said " an ideology is a system of ideas which attempts to explain reality" but I believe that sometimes ideologies tend either to over-simplify reality, or to completely distort it. but in this movie it did not over-simplify reality because of course we don't have animated characters in our head working together as our "feelings" but they simply tried to help us visualize how things may work in our head in a fun way. some may have also say that this "over dramatization" also opens up the conversation of mental illness depending on the way you view the movie, and for many this is to hard of a topic to talk about, and should not be shown in this movie.
from an ideological stand point, people with different political views and even different cultural backgrounds may have problems with the movie depending on their understanding of it, most Americans may think of creating a movie like this would be brilliant, but other cultures may feel as if the movie is invasive towards their personal thoughts and feelings and may not find it comfortable with the exspression of the movie. other cultures also may have different beliefs they may not believe in letting your emostions out when they are provoked, when someone upsetting you, you cant scream or curse to exspress your anger, or showing sadness or fear in public, they may believe in controlling your emostions and" meditating" and not letting your feelings get the best of you, while many americans have normalized exspress your self however you like whether is free speech, and exspression your emotions.
despite the different views an the perspectives on the movie, ideology with many things could help or hurt the way other views things, and how they "group things" , but in this case I don't see any harm done with this movie being created, and even though not everyone agrees on this being a wonderful movie they may can pick out certain great aspects of the movie.

I agree I do not think that this movie over-simplfy or over dramatize the message they were trying to send! This movie definitely helped you learn how to over come life but made it easier to understand life in a fun way!
